2) York University - Faculty of Music ensembles Series

The department of Music at York University has a concert series that features the ensemble of faculty members.  Our saxophone player Sundar is a full-time professor of jazz performance (voice and sax) at York,  and we have been invited to take part in this concert series.

Great Session at Canturbury Sound

We recently had a great session at one of Toronto's great recording studios.   We laid down the tracks for four songs from our up-coming album.   We are hard at work on this new CD and look forward to sharing it very soon with all our freinds and fans.  Stay tuned for more details.

Back from Summer Tour

We have returned from our cross-Canada summer tour.    We had a great time playing for crowds of thousands at big festivals like TD Vancouver international Jazz Festival and Stewart Park Music Festival (Perth).   We also really enjoyed playing the small stages in rural theatres in places like Salt Spring Island, County Claire (NS), Victoria By The Sea (PEI).

The highlight of the summer tour was our six day trip to Haida Gwaii (AKA The Queen Charlotte Islands) , BC, to be on e of four headliners at the Edge of the World Music Festival.   We will blog and post photos from this magical place when we find a few moments.
